M/Y Monsoon

Launched in May 2007. M/Y Monsoon at 37m in length is the first truly international standard steel hulled vessel to operate in the Maldives. She is sister ship to MY Hurricane, voted "Best Liveaboard of the Year" for four consecutive years by the readers of Diver magazine. The latest vessel from Tornado Marine, she is not only luxurious but has been designed by people who really know Liveaboard diving.

Cabins
There has been no compromise when it comes to providing comfort onboard with each cabin being both spacious and beautifully finished. All cabins are en suite and are equipped with a small fridge, safety deposit box, DVD player and screen. The air conditioning has individual controls and the music and lighting can be adjusted from the bedside.

Saloon & Dining Room
The dining room is situated on the main deck and provides a spacious and tasteful environment to enjoy an excellent variety of local Maldivian and European cuisine. The saloon and bar are located directly above the dining area on the bridge deck. The saloon has a comfortable seating area, DVD player and plasma screen which is perfect for relaxing and viewing the day's digital shots, video footage or a movie. The bar is kept well stocked with a selection of wine, spirits and cocktails.

Sun and Cocktail Decks
All the deck areas are teak adding to the feel of luxury onboard. The cocktail deck provides ample space both in and out of the sun and is ideal for watching the sun set on the horizon. There are several sun decks for relaxing and tanning allowing guests to find their own private area. The upper deck is accessible via a ladder and is home to the heated Jacuzzi which is the best way to relax after a day of sunbathing or diving.

Dive Deck
The dive deck is fully equipped to cater for all diving needs, recreational or technical, open circuit or re-breather, photo or video.

- Tanks filled in situ
- Fresh water rinsing tanks and high pressure air-drying for cameras and electrical equipment
- Nitrox membrane
- Mixing panel
- Haskel booster pump

Nitrox, oxygen, helium, Inspiration tanks, pony cylinders, Sofnolime and 15 litre tanks are available by request and are subject to additional charge.

Two spacious 6m RIBs with centre consoles are used to drop and pick up guests from the entry and exit points. Additionally, there is a smaller inflatable which is used by the crew.
